SB 507 (Carrico) was defeated last week in the Senate Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources Committee, failing to report to the full Senate by a vote of 7-7-1.
SB 507 provided that for localities located entirely outside of the Chesapeake Bay watershed, the Department of Environmental Quality and State Water Control Board would revert to the water quality and quantity requirements that were in effect prior to July 1, 2014. Localities within the Chesapeake Bay watershed would not have been affected.
