The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay’s Local Leadership Workgroup (LLWG) will be hosting a webinar titled, “How to Use A local Government Guide to the Chesapeake Bay,” on October 11 from 12pm -2pm. This webinar is a resources training session designed exclusively for local officials and staff working closely with local governments. These resources were developed by local elected officials for local elected officials, to support decision-making and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for your community and the environment.
The LLWG, through the webinar, will introduce you to the Protect Local Waterways website and the suite of learning modules, videos, fact sheets, and case studies available there. These modules were developed by a team that includes elected local government leaders with the intention of highlighting the benefits of adopting environmental protection policies and actions. This training program will teach you to navigate the Protect Local Waterways website and take full advantage of the array of resources available. The goal of the webinar is to empower you to educate and inspire others within your community on the benefits to your economy and stakeholders of environmental protection and restoration.
