On April, 1 2022 The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has released the draft 2023 Virginia Telecommunication Initiative (VATI) program guidelines and criteria for public comment.
The public comment period opened on Friday, April 1, 2022 and will close on Monday, May 2, 2022. Follow this link to submit written comments on the draft program guidelines and criteria. Comments must be submitted through this comment portal to be considered.
There will be two input sessions to discuss the proposed FY2023 VATI program guidelines and criteria. Representatives from units of local government, internet service providers and other interested parties are encouraged to participate.
The first session will be held on April 7 from 2-4PM, and the second will be held on April 19, from 12-2PM. The input sessions will be held virtually using Google Meets. A call-in option will also be available. A registration link can be found here. Registration is required to participate in the sessions.
