On September 13th, 2023 the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) released the final grant and loan manuals for the Community Flood Preparedness Fund (CFPF) and the Resilient Virginia Revolving Fund (RVRF). These funds are intended to help Virginians statewide build resilience and protection against flooding, communities through previous rounds of the CFPF. - CFPF Applications Due November 12, 2023 with $80 million ($50 million in grants, $30 million in loans) available
- RVRF Due December 12, 2023 with $18.5 million ($13.5 million in loans, $5 million in grants) available
On September 29, the nonprofit Wetlands Watch hosted a Lunch & Learn on two DCR funding opportunities that are currently accepting applications from local and regional governments. Watch the recording and download the slides to learn more about the first round of Resilient Virginia Revolving Fund (RVRF) grant/loan resources and the 4th round of Community Flood Preparedness Fund (CFPF) grant/loan resources. You can access additional application resources for CFPF and RVRF on the Wetlands Watch website. CFPF applications are due by midnight on November 12 and RVRF applications are due by midnight on December 12, both using the WebGrants application portal.
