The Virginia Association of Counties (VACo) is helping the Chesapeake Bay Program distribute a survey of elected or appointed officials and senior staff involved in policy making. The Survey is a short set of questions that evaluate the knowledge and capacity of local officials on issues related to water resources. The survey was first conducted in 2022 and was shared with county leaders across Virginia. Here are the results of that first survey if you want to check them out.
The results of this survey serve as information to guide the work of the Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC), the Local Leadership Workgroup (LLWG) and VACo as we collectively work to increase the knowledge and capacity of local officials.
