VACo’s Chairperson’s Institute brings county leaders together for 1.5 days of education

The 2022 graduates of the VACo Chairpersons’ Institute. Not pictured – Clyde DeLoach, Patrick County; Debbie Donehey, Rappahannock County; and Margaret Franklin, Prince William County

Thirty chairs and vice chairs from across the Commonwealth engaged with experts and peers for a day-and-a-half of learning on February 4-5 in Richmond. The county leaders participated in VACo’s annual Chairperson’s Institute, which focuses on the specific roles of the Chair – including meeting management, communications, work relationships, leadership, and goal setting. An overview of county government and the work of county supervisors are also covered.

VACo thanks our sponsors for their generous support of the event – Aetna, Baker Tilly, Blue Line Solutions, The Berkley Group, VAcorp, and VML/VACo Finance. VACo is a much better organization with these sponsors on our side.
