VDOT Seeks Input Regarding Electric Vehicle Charging Station Deployment

The Commonwealth of Virginia is investing a projected $100 million in federal funding over the next five years to install public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Virginia. The federal funding for these EV charging stations is allocated from the Federal Highway Administration’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program. At this time, NEVI funds are reserved for direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations along alternative fuel corridors.

VDOT is seeking widespread public input for the 2023 Virginia NEVI Deployment Plan update.  This survey is focused on your concerns about electric vehicles (EVs) and EV charging stations, priority station locations and amenities in Virginia, as well as EV charging habits and EV charging station hosting interest. We’re also interested in whether you travel to or through Virginia in your EV travels!

Please consider providing input by Monday, July24th
