The Annual Conference is VACo’s premiere event. This VACo event includes:

  • Regional Meetings
  • Steering Committee Meetings
  • VACo’s Annual Business Meeting where the Legislative Program is adopted and the Board of Directors is elected for the upcoming year
  • General Sessions feature state representatives, local government leaders and experts in issues that county governments face
  • Breakout Sessions designed to educate and promote collaboration
  • Exhibit Hall with over 100 businesses and organizations with products and services to meet county government needs
  • Specialized group meetings focused on directed topics for different county positions.
  • Multiple team-building opportunities

VACo Education provides a forum where information is shared. We understand that many counties face similar issues and by making connections at events, VACo members can collaborate on innovative ways to improve Virginia’s communities. Building Bridges makes a stronger Virginia. With roughly 1,000 local government officials, state representatives, speakers and exhibitors in attendance, it is the perfect opportunity to learn and join forces with peers from across the state. Attendees take away an abundance of knowledge through connections with colleagues.

Exhibit dates are November 13 & 14.
Download our 2016 Exhibitor Application. September 30 is the cutoff date for being listed in the conference program book. Applications received October 1 and after must be paid in full at the time of submission.

LODGING
Lodging at The Omni Homestead:  
The room reservation form was sent to county members and confirmed exhibitors on June 15, 2016. You must use the room request form designated for the 2016 VACo Annual Conference to receive the special rate.
Other registrants who did not receive the room form on June 15 may request one by calling 804.788.6652. Room forms will be sent to those who have registered for the conference. The hotel fills up fast so it is recommended to submit your form as soon as possible. Send your room request form(s) to The Omni Homestead (not VACo). FAX: 540.839.7670. (No phone call room reservations, please.)
